Virginia bucket truck fatality
A man died on Saturday after falling around 20 metres after the bucket was sheared off the boom by a cable.

The whipping cables sliced the buckets from the boom
The incident occurred in Augusta County, Virginia near Staunton, while a crew from Irby Construction were cutting high tension overhead wires. Police reports indicate that Dustin Killen, 22, was working from an Altec platform cutting the cables along with colleagues in other lifts. One of the wires apparently whipped back and sliced the dual buckets from the boom.

The buckets landed by the side of the road
The contractor was working for Dominion Virginia Power it has sent an investigator to the scene to join the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration and police in their investigations.
