Palfinger P-480 for Guelorget

French rental company Guelorget Nacelles has taken delivery of a new 48 metre Palfinger P480 truck mounted lift.

The new machine is mounted on a 26 tonne three axle Scania P480 chassis - rather than the usual 18 tonne two axle - allowing the addition of three tonnes of extra chassis counterweight, giving the new lift a full 31 metres of unrestricted outreach.
This combination provides the maximum performance, and yet maintains relatively compact dimensions, with an overall length of 9.9 metres.

Guelorget Nacelle's new Palfinger P-480.

The P480 offers a number of features and benefits, including 240 degrees of jib articulation and auto platform stowage but the customer Brice Guelorget said: “Quite simply I purchased the P480 because it is the best product in this sector on the market, regardless of manufacturer. there are also numerous product features which we look forward to highlighting with our customers, but they will particularly appreciate the 400 degrees of platform rotation. The Palfinger brand is also well known and personally I compare the quality of this machine with a fine Swiss watch”.
