New Manitou heavy duty telehandlers
Manitou has launched two new large capacity telehandlers for the Australia, New Zealand and Oceania markets.
The MHT-X 790 and 1490 have lift capacities of nine tonnes with lift heights of seven and 14 metres respectively. These new machines are aimed at the mining, oil and gas and waste management sectors as well as on large construction infrastructure projects.

The larger 13.7 metre MHT-X 1490 can lift 3,500kg at maximum 9.5 metre reach
Both MHT-X machines have been designed for handling heavy, bulky loads in tough conditions and Manitou says they have much higher safety standards than smaller capacity telehandlers.

The Manitou MHT 790
THE MHT-X 790 can lift 6,000kg to its maximum 6.84 metre lift height, while its hydrostatic transmission provides a maximum travel speed of 30kph. Power is supplied by either a 102kW Stage 3a or 104W stage 3b John Deere engine. Total weight of the machine is just over 13 tonnes.

The MHT 790 has a nine tonne maximum capacity and 6.94 metre lift height
The larger MHT-X 1490 can lift to a height of 13.67 metres and can take 3,500kg to its maximum 9.5 metres reach. Total weight is 20.8 tonnes and power is supplied by a 129kW Mercedes stage 4 engine with gearbox and hydrostatic transmission.

Aimed specifically at the mining, civil works and industrial site maintenance the MHT-X 1490 is compatible with a wide range of attachments including tyre and cylinder handlers, underground mining platform and buckets aimed at maximising efficiency and productivity.
