The Felbermayr ground breaking ceremony in Sulzemoos
The new premises are being built in Sulzemoos in the Dachau area around 30 kilometres North West of Munich city centre. The ground breaking ceremony for the new 7,000 square metre facility took place last week. It will have around 130 employees by May next year. The buildings will be located on a seven acre plot that the company has acquired on the industrial park alongside the A8.
The first phase - which is due to be completed by May - comprises a two storey, 1,000 square metre office building, a 4,500 square metre warehouse and a 1,600 square metre workshop, complete with 100 tonne overhead crane, a refueling area and wash down bays. The company is investing around €15,000 in this first phase, which will also free up space for the Felbermayr crane operation.

Managing director Horst Felbermayr said: “We are delighted to work with the community of Sulzemoos and be able to realise this project. On the one hand this is a strategic location which the just 30 kilometres from Munich, but also the good cooperation with the Mayor and representatives of the community made it an easy decision. "
“Both subsidiaries are currently expanding strongly, with the specialised transport and installation business of Wimmer having synergies with the Hagn water and landfill company”.
