Dr. Anthony (Tony) Narushka 1956 - 2015
This morning we received the sad and shocking news that Tony Narushka, founder and owner of Polish access sales and rental company Instant Polska, has died at the age of 59.
We have held off the news until now while his family in the USA were informed, and will add to this article over the coming days as we receive more information.
But briefly Tony Narushka, grew up in the USA as part of a Polish family. He became a graduated as a Chiropractor, and owned a practice in Orlando, Florida, where he grew up and lived for many years. He then became an active investor in a local aerial lift rental company which he became involved with alongside his practice.
Then when the Iron Curtain started coming down he decided to travel to Poland, the land of his family, and spotted the potential to get into a business on the ground floor renting access equipment. He was appointed as the Instant aluminium scaffold tower distributor for Poland in 1994, based purely on his merit persistence and willingness to invest in a new business, in a new country where in spite of his family ties he could not speak the language and where few, if any understood the concept of aluminium scaffold towers, let alone rental.
He managed to struggle through the bureaucracy, red tape and instability that existed in post-soviet era Poland, while learning to speak the challenging language. He also became the UpRight dealer for Poland and working with the manufacturer was the first to obtain Polish UDT type approval certification, one of the toughest in the world to achieve. In spite of enormous challenges he succeeded due to determination, persistence and vision.

He retained his practice in Florida though all of this and more recently was a founding member and driving force behind the Polish Chiropractic Association. Meanwhile Instant Polska is still the Instant scaffold tower distributor along with Snorkel aerial lifts.
Tony Narushka was a particular personality who did not always endear himself on first meeting, but he was much loved by those that knew him well, and he will be missed by many.
On behalf of all of the team at Snorkel, we send our deepest condolences to Tony’s family, friends and colleagues at this very sad time.
Tony was a loyal, dedicated and highly respected member of our UpRight and Snorkel distribution networks, and he will be greatly missed by our team, as well as the wider AWP community.
