First LTM 1060 for Southern Cranes & Access

UK rental company Southern Cranes & Access of Horsham, West Sussex, has taken delivery of its first three axle 60 tonne Liebherr LTM 1060-3.1 All Terrain crane.

The company has previously operated the new crane's predecessor, the LTM 1055-3.1, and has a number of Liebherr cranes in its fleet. It cited the 1060's 48 metre main boom, good capacities, mobility, comfort and safety systems as key features that persuaded it to order the new model.

The crane is also is equipped with Liebherr's VarioBase system, which allows each outrigger to be extended to any length with the load chart for any configuration automatically calculated within the LICCON control system.

Southern Cranes & Access has added its first 60 tonne Liebherr LTM 1060-3.1

With the 16 metre bi-fold swingaway extension fitted the crane has 66 metre top height and can lift to a maximum radius of 48 metres. In the UK, the LTM 1060-3.1 can travel with all 12.8 tonnes of counterweight along with the bi-fold extension.
