Interim CFO for Speedy

UK rental company Speedy has appointed Chris Morgan as interim finance director with immediate effect.

Morgan joins the company from Go Outdoors, the UK's leading retailer of outdoor equipment and clothing, where he was chief financial officer, since starting with the company in 2012. He began his career in 1988 as an auditor with Ernst & Young leaving in 1994 to join Tesco as a capital accountant. He remained with Tesco for almost 16 years, holding a number of senior financial positions including group controller from 1999 to 2004, and more recently as finance director, Czech Republic and Slovakia. In 2010 he left Tesco to join Focus DIY as chief financial officer, leaving for Go Outdoors just over a year later.

Chief executive Russell Down said: "We are delighted that Chris is joining us as interim finance director. He brings a wealth of finance experience and I am looking forward to working with him."
