Link Belt upgrades HTC-3140

Link Belt is upgrading its 120 tonne HTC-3140 and long boom HTC-3140LB truck cranes, along with new engines and other improvements.

A new carrier engine on both cranes now meets EPA 2013 on-highway requirements, while the superstructure engine moves up to off-highway Tier 4f/Stage IV.

The new machines also include side-to-side suspension levelling of up to four degrees either side of centre, an automatic lubrication system and all temperature hydraulic oil. Monitors in the chassis cab are connected to rear view cameras plus one with a view of the right side of the carrier for when making a right turn.

Other standard features include: Link-Belt Pulse featuring telematics, a radio with Bluetooth in both cabs, hoist and slew view cameras. Halogen and LED lights.

The crane can also carry up to 2,721kg of counterweight on the back of the crane in a five axle configuration as well as when travelling with a boom dolly. This allows a well-equipped 59.5 metre Long Boom version to carry up to 14,515kg of counterweight while still achieving 9,071.8 kg axle loadings. The regular 49.3 metre boom version can carry 17,690kg of counterweight with the same axle loadings.
