TVH acquires DanTruck parts business
TVH has acquired the assets of the Danish lift truck manufacturer DanTruck, as a result, TVH becomes the exclusive distributor of replacement parts for DanTruck and Heden lift trucks- effective March 21st.
The move follows the recent acquisition of DanTruck sales and service operations by Toyota, with the deal completing in April. Following the deal, DanTruckwill cease to exist as a company, thus the deal with TVH to continue to provide DanTruck owners with spare parts.
DanTruck began business in 2000 as a result of the merger of the Danish competitors DanTruck and Heden, both of which were founded in the early 1960s. DanTruck specialised in the development of compact, environment-friendly lift trucks and was active throughout Europe. In total, the company has produced close to 10,000 lift trucks. The replacement parts catalogue includes 18,000 line items. The company was also the Danish distributor for Mitsubishi for trucks and Sany heavy duty fork lifts.
TVH will take over the parts inventory, and has also purchased the supplier and customer databases. In order to help with a smooth transfer, DanTruck’ parts co-ordinator will assist TVH.
TVH director sales Industrial Equipment Parts & Accessories Kristof Bolle said: ‘This acquisition allows for a further expansion of our existing range of lift truck parts. Furthermore it will boost the one-stop shop-experience for our customers”
