Welsh rental company R.W. Christopher has taken delivery of a 90 tonne Liebherr LTM 1090-4.2 All Terrain crane.
The four axle LTM 1090-4.2 features a 60 metre main boom plus a 9.5 to 16 metre bi-fold swingaway extension with manual offset to offer a maximum tip height of just under 80 metres. Features include Liebherr’s VarioBase variable outrigger set up and remote control system, along with Ecodrive and Ecomode systems, which helps improve fuel consumption, while reducing emissions and noise.
Sam Christopher, manager of R.W. Christopher said: “The company’s fleet will expand further into 2025 with the addition of an LTM 1090-4.2. This 90-tonne all-terrain crane is both compact and powerful, allowing it to carry all its ballast, which results in shorter setup times and quick readiness for on-site use. Simultaneously, the LTM 1090-4.2 boasts impressive lifting capacities and a wide working range, thanks to its 60-metre telescopic boom.”
Family owned R. W. Christopher was established in 1986 and operates a fleet of cranes from eight to 300 tonnes from its location in Bridgend, covering Wales and south west England.
