Cargotec appoints new CFO
Hiab and Kalmar owner Cargotec has appointed Mikko Puolakka as chief financial officer, he takes up his new post on May 1st .
The appointment follows Eeva Sipilä’s resignation to take a post at Metso.
Puolakka joins the company from Outotec, a supplier of metal and mineral processing technology and services, where he has been chief financial officer since 2010, before that he held a similar position at Elcoteq, an electronics and mobile phone manufacturer that went bankrupt in 2011. He had joined the company in 2001 as finance manager. He started his career in 1995 with Huhtamaki a Finnish based packaging company and worked in various financial and operational roles in both Finland and Switzerland. He also spent two years working with Leaf Poland, a foodstuffs exporter.

Chief executive Mika Vehviläinen said: "I warmly welcome Mikko to Cargotec. He brings with him a solid experience in wide-scale financial leadership and development. I expect a strong contribution from him to the company strategy execution and to further development of our financial processes”.
