Scott-Macon buys at Bauma

US rental company Scott-Macon Equipment has ordered two new Tadano Mantis telescopic crawler cranes, a 120 tonne GTC-1200 and a 70 tonne 15010.

The 15010 features a four section 34 metre main boom plus 15.2 metre bi-fold swingaway and comes with a boom mounted hydraulic auger. Both cranes were ordered at Bauma.

Houston, Texas based Scott-Macon has sold and rented cranes since 1973 and runs a fleet of Terex, Borderson, and Tadano Mantis cranes.

Alexander Scott said: “We are seeing increased applications for telescopic crawlers, and we are excited to add these two units to our inventory of equipment, available to meet the needs of our customers. We are particularly pleased with the innovative GTC-1200 which will represent the first purchase by Scott-Macon of a telescopic boom crawler in the 120 tonne class.”
