New R&D centre for Wacker Neuson
Wacker Neuson has begun work on a new €10 million on a R&D centre for its light equipment range, at its plant in Reichertshofen 65km north of Munich.
The company moved to the Reichertshofen facility, from Munich in 1998. Located on a 10 hectare site it currently employs around 330. The expansion plans include 3,500 square metres of office space for up to 120 employees and a 3,000 square metre test hall for light equipment during the development phase.
Production managing director Helmut Bauer said: “Moving all technical operations for light equipment to the same site will improve processes, shorten workflows and boost productivity even further”.
