The sixth crane is a new 50 tonne three axle LTC 1050-3.1 city type All Terrain, the first of its kind in the AB2000 fleet. The new crane features a 36 metre five section main boom, plus 13 metre bi-fold swingaway extension, with 1.5 metre integrated assembly jib. Its single operator cab is fitted on a telescopic arm and can be raised and tilted to give a maximum eye level of eight metres.
AB2000 general manager Bill Marsh said: “We chose Liebherr cranes for their good residual values, excellent back up fleet service, build quality and reliability.”
