First LTM 1300 for Chicago

US based Atlas Crane Service has taken delivery of Chicago’s first 300 tonne LTM 1300-6.2 All Terrain crane.

The new crane expands the company’s fleet adding to two other Liebherr cranes in its 15 unit fleet- a 60 tonne LTM 1060-3.1 and 95 tonne LTM 1095-5.1. Chosen primarily for its long seven section 78 metre main boom, the crane is also equipped with the VarioBase outrigger set up system and features Liebherr’s single-engine concept which the manufacturer says helps reduce maintenance costs, and overall weight.

Atlas' new 300 tonne LTM 1300-6.2 All Terrain crane - Chicago’s first

Atlas has provided the greater Chicago area with civil engineering and commercial construction services since 2009. Its crane fleet consists of All Terrain, Rough Terrain, crawler, and spider cranes.

Atlas’ president Zach Prentis said: “We wanted to bring a crane with cutting edge technology and a long boom into the Chicago market. We also appreciate the reliability of the products and the support we receive from Liebherr Cranes.”
