Manitou goes direct in Malaysia

Manitou has opened a new direct sales and rental operation in Sungai Buloh, Malaysia called ‘The Manitou Centre’.

The new 900 square metre facility on the North West edge of Kuala Lumpur, will offer all of the group’s products - Manitou, Gehl, and Mustang – for both sale and rental, as well as providing full after sales support, including spare parts, warranty extensions, financing and full service contracts.

The new Manitou Centre in Malaysia

Manitou will initially use new operation to target the construction, rental and oil markets, the six man team will be managed by Manitou Asia with the target of doubling the operations revenues etc over the next three years and tripling the volume of telehandlers.

Operations manager Julien Poupart said: “The opening of this Manitou Centre is very important for the development of services and solutions we offer to our customers. We want to provide them with a service adapted to their requirements. In particular, we have a rental fleet of new telescopic handlers to enable our customers to develop their activities with the latest-generation equipment.”
