Tracked Comet
UK based specialist vehicle rental company 2Rent has taken delivery of a 20.5 metre Comet 21-2-9 articulated platform on a tracked carrier.
The new lift, supplied by Mantis Access is mounted on a tracked Yanmar C50R-3B carrier, features a single stage riser and telescopic boom offering an outreach of nine metres and platform capacity of 200kg through 360 degrees continuous slew. It is also equipped with four outriggers, 180 degree platform rotation and independent low pressure hydraulic controls.

Mantis has equipped the 21-2-9 with a number of features, including the option to remove the platform from the carrier and anti-collision limiting devices. The new machine went straight to work on a project to service a 132kv trident over line contract.
Jim Warburton operations director for 2Rent said: “I purchased the machine from Mantis as I was very impressed with the build quality on the machine, along with the finish and attention to detail. It was clear to me that Mantis take a lot of pride in what they do.”
Based in Cheshire, North West England, 2Rent provides specialist vehicles for operations such airports and utilities.
