TVH acquires GDI

TVH has acquired GDI group, the French supplier of replacement glass and accessories for agricultural tractors and industrial equipment cabs in a share purchase deal, the terms of which have not been disclosed.

GDI comprises three companies, GDI, CAB Parts and Glassinter. GDI -Glaces Distribution Internationale - was established in 1982 and subsequently acquired the UK based CAB Parts Ltd in 2010. In 2015 German company Glassinter was added.

The headquarters and central warehouse are based in Beaufort en Vallée, France. CAB Parts has an office and warehouse in Crickhowell, England and Glassinter has a warehouse in Kirchheim unter Teck, Germany. Over the years, GDI has developed a wide range of products including 8,000 references for windows. The company has over 6,000 customers in 16 countries across Europe and employs 44.

The acquisition boosts TVH’s agricultural and industrial activities, adding to the Bepco group - acquired in 2012 - which distributes parts and accessories for agricultural tractors and machinery.

Mike Nyren, marketing and communications manager of Bepco said: “The acquisition of GDI enables both TVH and Bepco to distribute the GDI products across our international customer networks and further strengthens our agricultural and industrial equipment ranges.”
