Aviation Versalift
Belgian airline Jetairfly – previously Tui Airlines – and its maintenance division Tec4jets, has taken delivery of a new 24 metre Versalift VTX-240 truck mounted lift.
The new platform is the 12th VTX-240 delivered in Belgium, since it was launched locally at Matexpo nine months ago. It was purchased through local distributor HDW, which took over Time Benelux at the start of this year.
The latest unit, which was delivered yesterday to Jetairly, is mounted on a Mercedes Sprinter Euro 6 chassis and equipped with a number of special options for airline use, including proximity devices and platform bumper switches mounted around the toeboard and to the rounded vertical platform corner pillars.
The new machine was delivered to the Tec4jest facility at Brussels Zaventem airport and went straight to work on a Jetairfly plane.

The Versalift VTX 240 has also been very successful in the Netherlands where Rotterdam based rental company Doornbos has been a lead customer. It features a three section telescopic riser/lower boom that elevates to the vertical, and a three section top boom. It offers a maximum outreach of 12.5 metres at an up and over height of 11 metres, with a platform capacity of 200kg. It can also reach 3.5 metres below ground level.
