Camso acquires Eurowheel

Tyre and wheel manufacturer Camso - formerly Camoplast Solideal - has acquired Belgian tyre / wheel manufacturer Eurowheel.

Camso has purchased the Eurowheel facility, complete with tooling and inventory etc… with all Eurowheel employees transferring to the company.

The Eurowheel plant in Herenthout, Northern Belgium joins Camso’s existing factory in Ghent. The move, which adds substantially to Camso’s capacity in Europe, is expected to help reduce lead times, for Camso customers in Belgium, Netherlands, the UK and Germany. While Eurowheel customers will benefit from a wider product range and geographic coverage.

The newly rebranded Camso provides off the road tyres and wheels from five production locations in Belgium, Canada, Sri Lanka, and China.

Camso regional vice president Gregory Fossey said: “This acquisition will allow Camso to produce a greater volume and a wider range of wheels for resilient and press on tires. As a niche player in the off the road market, Camso aims to provide products and services to original equipment manufacturers and aftermarket clients for special wheels and small order quantities; needs not met by any other company.”
