New 14 metre Aldercote
UK sales company Access Platform Sales (APS) is preparing the launch of its new 14 metre Aldercote van mounted lift on a 3.5 tonne Ford Transit van.
The lightweight boom on the new VZ140 leaves up to 400kg of spare payload in the van, after allowing for fuel and two occupants. It offers a maximum outreach of nine metres with 120kg platform capacity.
APS unveiled a prototype of the new lift at Vertikal Days last month, and launched the 12 metre and 13 metre booms on 3.5 tonne vans earlier this year. The first 14 metre units are expected to be ready to ship by the end of this year.

The VZ140 has a working height of 14 metres
Other features of the VZ140 include the pedestal mounted directly behind the bulkhead to leave more space in the van, while the hydraulic oil tank, and emergency lowering controls are now housed in the back of the van, eliminating the need to climb onto the roof.

The new lift will be available towards the end of the year
Steve Couling of APS said: “We are really excited about this new product and we received some great feedback at Vertikal Days. Visitors were blown away by the VZ140’s capabilities; it far surpasses anything currently available. We are quickly building a reputation for high quality van-mounted booms with industry-leading performance. Customers are always asking for more payload and more reach from 3.5 tonne van mounts. In the VZ140 we have a product that provides both.”
