Bergerat Monnoyeur teams up with IronPlanet

Online auction house IronPlanet and Bergerat Monnoyeur, the Cat distributor for France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Poland, Romania and Algeria, are to organise the first Cat Auction Services sale in Belgium.

The sale, will be the first Cat Auction Services to held in continental Europe and will take place on Thursday 6th October at the yard of Van der Vlist Belgium, in Zeebrugge. It follows a similar event in the UK this April, during which 176 items were sold for almost £5 million.

IronPlanet president Jeff Jeter said: “We are thrilled that Bergerat Monnoyeur is hosting our first Cat Auction Services sale in Belgium. This follows our successful on-site sale in Rockingham last April that drew premium buyers from 33 countries, and more than 17,500 bidders. This included our online audience who were able to bid in real-time along with the bidders in the room. Our unique Leaderboard technology makes for a lively auction with global participation and competitive pricing – bidders in the room can bid upon equipment not on-site and online bidders get the same quality IronPlanet experience that they get from our weekly sales.”
