New VP engineering Safeworks
US based suspended platform specialist Safeworks, has appointed Vishnu Irigireddy as vice president global engineering.
Based at the company’s headquarters in Seattle he will report directly to chief executive Scott Farrell and be responsible for all product related engineering functions, including new product innovation and development and management of intellectual property.
He joins the company from Apex Tool Group where he has been director of global R&D and engineering since 2012. Prior to that he spent almost 13 years with Caterpillar and its associate companies. Most recently he was strategy and product development manager and before that new product introduction manager. He became involved with Caterpillar in 2000 as a system analyst with Butler Technical Group. He started his career as a manufacturing engineer.
