Grove for DCH
Canadian crane and transport company DCH Crane has taken delivery of a 250 tonne Grove GMK5250L All Terrain crane.
The five axle GMK 5250L features a 70 metre seven section main boom and a 37 metre luffing bi-fold swingaway extension. Based in St. John’s, Newfoundland, DCH purchased the crane from local dealer Shawmut Equipment.

DCH’s Dwayne Murphy said: “We were looking for a crane that could meet 80 percent of our capacity needs, but we still needed to remain in the five axle class because of regional weight restrictions. The GMK5250L suits our needs perfectly – it’s powerful for its size and gives us the mobility we need to efficiently service our ongoing work”.
“Our experience with Grove has been consistently excellent, and dealing with Shawmut Equipment is a big part of that. Shawmut suggested the GMK5250L for our specific needs and we couldn’t be happier with the result. We have been working with them since 2009, the service never falters and they always go to bat for us, which is why we keep going back.”
DCH is locally owned and has been serving the province of Newfoundland and Labrador since 1982. Its customer base includes companies in the oil & gas, wind energy and construction sectors.
