25 year veteran

Flemming Jakobsen of Ommelift sales in Denmark has celebrated 25 years with the manufacturer.

Jakobsen joined the Danish trailer and spider lift manufacturer in 1991 as the office trainee and quickly proved his worth having a flair for the business and numbers. After completing his training he was given the job of office assistant working with customers, suppliers and all the departments within the company.

When Omme Lift decided that it required another salesman in 2002, the he was offered the job and became a trainee salesman. In the 14 years since then he has flourished in the role and now looks after most Omme customers in Denmark as the Middle East. A celebration was held at the company last Friday. Although the actual 25 year mark was passed in July.

In case you think 25 years does not sound so long take a look back and you will find that the powered access industry was a completely different world. Genie had just launched its S-60 and knew nothing about making scissor lifts, Simon was one of the leading manufacturers and Steve Cecil had just left JLG for Mark Lift. Omme Lift on the other hand had just launched a 25 metre single axle trailer lift – a major innovation at the time and was promoting its 34ft Handi-Lift 120SL self-propelled articulated boom.

So yes 25 years is a long time in a working life - Congratulations
