New Demags for MSG
German heavy lifting and haulage company MSG Krandienst has taken delivery of two Demag All Terrain cranes, a 700 tonne AC700-9 and 500 tonne AC500-8.
The nine axle AC700-9 has a 60 metre main boom and 96 metre luffing jib. It is powered by a Euromot 4/Tier 4 engine. MSG also decided to go with the full equipment and options package, including maximum counterweight and central jack leg. The AC500-8 has a 56 metre main boom and a 90 metre luffing jib.

General manager Alfred Jatz said: “Although these cranes have been in production for a while now, they really are at the cutting edge of technology. They combine sophisticated and reliable engineering with a variety of technical advantages."

Björn Jatz added::“Since we will be using this powerful crane primarily for heavy-load lifts involved in port handling operations and industrial projects, the central jack leg will be indispensable, as it will ensure that the crane will have the maximum level of stability possible."
MSG primarily operates in the tri-border area between Karlsruhe and Weil am Rhein in Germany and Alsace and Franche-Comté in France.
