The LTC 1050-3.1 replaced the LTC 1045-3.1 on which it is based. With emissions regulations requiring a new engine installation Liebherr chose to carry out a moe extensive redesign which resulted in improved capacities and other benefits. The upgraded version of the crane was first seen at Intermat last April followed by Vertikal Days in May.
