New MD for Riwal UK
Dutch international rental company Riwal has appointed Glenn Pearson as country manager for the UK, from the start of October. He will replace Tim White who has “decided to pursue other opportunities outside of the Riwal group”.
Pearson will join Riwal from Ireland’s Height for Hire group, where he is the managing director of its Easi Uplifts subsidiary in Slovakia. He joined the company in 2008 when it took over the Košice based access rental business that he owned - Strojné Centrum Slovakia, (SCS), having established it in 2005. Educated in Ireland he had previously spent 10 years with agricultural equipment manufacturer Hi-Spec, working as a project manager in both in Ireland and Slovakia.

Riwal chief executive Norty Turner said: “Ever since the establishment of Riwal UK Tim White has been intensively involved in the development of the business where it now holds a strong and solid position in the UK market. He has been such an important leader within Riwal. We thank Tim for his great contribution to our company and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”
“We welcome Glenn to Team Riwal and will strongly support his efforts to lead Riwal UK into the future”.
Riwal UK was established in 2009 by Tim White, Les Warren and Dave Freebody, initially as a re-rent operation. In last year's Crane & Access Top 30 rental company results show that as a year ago the company had 793 units in its fleet.
