New director for Tat Hong
Tat Hong has appointed the managing director of its Australian operations, Chen Wei Ng, to its group board of directors.
Ng, 38, took over as managing director of Tutt Bryant in 2013 having joined the business in July 2009, following seven years with the Sydney branch of ABN Amro, where he was director of structured finance. He took over as deputy managing director of Tutt Bryant at the end of 2012 and moved up when predecessor David Haynes retired seven months later. He is the son of Tat Hong’s chief executive Roland Ng San Tiong and will take the board to eight directors.

In a statement the company said: “The board is confident that it will benefit from Mr Ng Chen Wei's direct input and guidance on this important part of the group business. The board is continually seeking to renew itself and Mr Ng Chen Wei's appointment is a move in that direction. As executive director he will be responsible for the overall operational and financial performance of the company's businesses in Australia as well as business development and strategy formulation in that region.”
