1,200 tonner for SE Levage

French crane rental company S.E Levage has taken delivery of a new Flagship crane, a 1,200 tonne Liebherr LTM 11200-9.1, the largest telescopic crane in France.

When looking for a crane of this side, the company decided to go for a refurbished unit, rather than brand new and purchased it directly from Liebherr. The nine axle LTM 11200-9.1 was completely refurbished and repainted in the customer's colours livery.

The crane was set up on the street with 13m x 13m outrigger base

The new addition has already carried out four lifts, the latest in the centre of Lyon, required two large Liebherr excavators - weighing up to 58 tonnes - to be lifted over a multi storey building into a yard at the rear where they will be used to to carry out demolition work.

The crane was rigged with 70 metres of main boom with the Y Guy superlift system installed, 160 tonnes of counterweight, and an outrigger base of 13 by 13 metres.

The new crane had to lift the excavators over the building and into the back yard

The Crane has a 100 metre main boom, full extensions and luffing jib with a maximum lift height of 188 metres. Crane operator Christophe Thenery, who collected the LTM1200 ,said:: "The crane was like new when I took delivery of it at the Liebherr plant in Ehingen."
