Sales rise at Scot JCB
Scottish equipment distributor, Scot JCB, has issued its results for 2015, with a positive outlook for 2016.
Total revenues increased seven percent to £125 million, the company said the increase reflected growth in market share and the upturn in the economy during the year. Growth came from all areas of the business, especially house building. Pre-tax profits for the year slipped five percent to £3.8 million due to "pressure on margins in a tough competitive climate and higher interest costs."
The company said: “Whilst farmers have been under pressure from high costs and lower selling prices, we have seen strong demand for Loadall telehandlers and for the new JCB 4000 series tractor. Scot JCB is well placed to grow sales and profits in coming years given expected market conditions.”
