New Palfinger location

Palfinger has officially opened its new €4 million service and support location in Ilsfeld, near Stuttgart, Germany.

The area was previously served from the company's branch in nearby Abstatt, but increased business demanded more space and forcing the mover to the new premises. The company displayed a selection of its heavy duty cranes at the event, plus a 48 metre P480 truck mounted platform. Around 1,200 visitors attended the opening celebrations.

Around 1,200 people attended the event

Branch manager Uwe Falk said: "In a record time of only six months, the 1,700 square metre building was completed and 100 percent functional. We were therefore able to move in before the targeted completion date."

Chief financial officer Norbert Karrer added: "Moving into the new building was very quick, with the team working at night and on weekends to help with the move."
