Ainscough close to Select deal

We can finally confirm that UK rental company Ainscough Crane Hire is in talks to acquire the Select mobile crane fleet.

Rumours have been circulating for a couple of weeks, but both parties have remained tight lipped on the subject until now but have confirmed that they opened talks with the Select employees affected this time last week. The deal covers 11 cranes which the company tends to use for tower crane erection and dismantling.

The full statement from Ainscough is as follows: “Ainscough Crane Hire is in discussions with Select Plant Hire Company to buy 11 mobile cranes. Select commenced consultation with the relevant employees on the potential transfer to Ainscough on the 16th of November 2016 and both parties expect to conclude the transaction soon. Ainscough and Select look forward to continuing their successful working partnership following the conclusion of the transaction.”
