Vp acquires in NZ

UK based rental group Vp has acquired New Zealand based testing equipment rental company TechRentals NZ for Nz$2.592 million ($1.82 million)

TechRentals is based in Auckland and has been operating a specialist business renting out test and measurement equipment and calibration services throughout New Zealand for more than 30 years.. The move follows the acquisition of TR Australia, which runs a similar business in Australia and Malaysia.

The two businesses were originally part of the same group but split in 2009. The New Zealand operation will now operate within the TR group of businesses.

Chairman Jeremy Pilkington said: "We are delighted to welcome the experienced TRNZ back to the TR group and also to the wider team at Vp. The acquisition further increases the TR group's exposure to the healthy New Zealand market."
