ALE signs nuclear deal in China
ALE has signed a strategic co-operation agreement with one of China’s largest lifting operators and equipment suppliers in the nuclear power sector - Shanghai Kangfu Nuclear Energy Machinery Co (KFNE).
The agreement - signed at a ceremony last month by Wei Hua of KFNE and Kees Kompier of ALE together with representatives from KFNE's parent company SNPTC including vice president Yan Jia Peng - will enable ALE to move into the Chinese nuclear power market.

ALE’s regional director Kees Kompier signs the contract with Wei Hua, director and general manager of KFNE.
Yannick Sel, senior sales manager Global Projects division ALE said: “This mutually beneficial deal is an effective step in progressing our business development not only in the Chinese nuclear power sector but for work in other fields globally. By working together, both parties are better positioned to serve our clients in this industry.”
Song Jie, deputy general manager KFNE added: “ALE’s global reputation and experience will be coupled with KFNE which has more than a third of the nuclear power market share in China. The cooperation between these two parties will bring top mechanical construction solutions to customers in the nuclear power construction market not only in China, but also around the world.”
ALE has steadily been growing its presence in China, since setting up an office in Tianjin in 2015. The company says that this strategy cooperation will target the nuclear power market and other new fields and will not conflict with its other work and current operations in China.
