Manitou Asia open house
Manitou has formally opened its new facility in Sungai Buloh, Malaysia with an open day just six months after it first moved in.
The 900 square metre site, located near Kuala Lumpur, provides sales, service and rental for Manitou, Gehl, and Mustang products. Manitou has had a presence in Malaysia for nearly 20 years through a local distribution partner, but felt the time was to add its own operation and go direct.

Guests were given a full tour of the premises, and were shown some of the company's latest products including the 33ft Manitou Man’Go 12 articulated boom lift and the seven metre/nine tonne capacity MHT-X 790 heavy duty telehandler.

Operations manager Julien Poupart said: "We see Malaysia as a great potential market especially for telescopic handlers. As a fast developing nation, Manitou’s presence is timely because of the potential for rough terrain material-handling equipment. The opening of this office in Malaysia is very important for the development of our services and solutions. We want to provide customers with a service adapted to their requirements. In particular, we have a rental fleet of new telehandlers with various heights to enable our customers to develop their activities with latest-generation equipment."
