100 JLGs for Eazi

The Eazi group JLG’s distributor for Southern Africa, has placed a $6.3 million order for 100 JLG booms, scissors, telehandlers and spider lifts.

The package includes several 20 metre X20J plus spider lifts, 5.6 metre/2,500kg JLG 2505H ultra compact telehandlers, 53ft 530LRT Rough Terrain scissor lifts and the 185ft 1850SJ telescopic boom lifts. The majority of units are destined for the rental fleet to, while some of the more popular products will go into the company’s sales inventory. Deliveries have started and will continue into the new year.

Eazi has been a JLG distributor since 2010, and is based in Midrand, South Africa, with locations in Gauteng, KwaZulu Natal, Western and Eastern Cape but the company covers all of the Southern African region. In January private equity firm Ethos acquired 65 percent stake in the business for R1.6 billion ($114 million), with the company founders and management holding the balance.

Founded in 2003, Eazi also distributes Maeda spider cranes, Power Towers low level lifts and Magni 360 degree telehandlers.
