Two more Hewden depots sold
UK Rental company Ashbrook Holdings has acquired two Hewden locations - Warrington and Bangor – from the company’s administrators.
Cheshire based Ashbrook will acquire most of the depot based assets and has offered to take on the Hewden employees associated with the locations. The two will operate as Ashbrook (Warrington) and Ashbrook (Bangor) respectively, with both registered as separate companies within Ashbrook Holdings.
They will sit alongside the current operating business, Congleton, Cheshire, based JK Ashbrook, which rents out a wide variety of largely earth moving equipment and telehandlers, with over 500 pieces of equipment. It also operates as a groundwork contractor. The two Hewden locations will also take the company into the powered access market.
Ashbrook managing director James Ashbrook said: "Whilst we were all sad to see the news regarding Hewden, we are pleased to report that we were able to react quickly and diligently to secure both depots and assets. In addition to the future and livelihood of the workforce in Warrington and Bangor. We are open for business and working with Customers to ensure a smooth transition. We have already invested over £3 million in new Access Platforms, Cherry Pickers and Dumpers to add to the existing fleet.”
Family run JK Ashbrook was established over 25 years ago and serves both the construction and agricultural markets.
