Hinowa for Scottish cleaners

Scottish specialist cleaning company Keystone Preservation has taken delivery of a 17 metre Hinowa 17.75 spider lift.

The 17.75 offers up to 7.5 metres of outreach, 7.8 metres of up and over reach and a platform capacity of 230kg. Overall width when retracted is 798mm, extending to almost 1.1 metre for additional stability when travelling on site.

Edinburgh-based Keystone has recently used the Hinowa platform on cleaning work at the El Cartel restaurant in the capital, and also for removing dirt and algae from the walls and roof of the Ivy Cottage guest house.

Managing director James Magee said: “The Hinowa 17.75 is a high performance, compact tracked aerial platform. For most buildings, we rely on the Hinowa tracked boom, which allows us to reach new cleaning heights. It’s a piece of equipment which is easy enough for us to transport to a property, but which can extend to great heights and allow us to reach those tricky parts of a building.”

“In addition, the size and nature of the tracked boom mean that no planning permission is required when it comes to the erection and use of this equipment on a property. This can be particularly useful for those with listed buildings or within the heritage sector, where obtaining planning permission for any building maintenance and improvements can prove tricky.”
