Three Liebherrs for Megalift
German heavy lift and haulage company Megalift has taken delivery of three 250 tonne five axle Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1 All Terrain cranes and ordered a new flagship crane in the form of a 1,200 tonne LTM 11200-9.1.
The five axle crane LTM 1250-5.1 features a 60 metre main boom and a hydraulic luffing bi-fold swingaway extension, which can be extended to 50 metres with inserts, all of which can offset by up to 45 degrees. It is also equipped with Liebherr's VarioBase outrigger set-up system, which the company said was a major factor behind the purchases.
The new cranes will join the company's fleet in Bremen, north Germany, with the LTM 11200-9.1 due to arrive in the summer.

Owner Bernd Preusse said: "Highly flexible machines are very important for our day-to-day business. Liebherr's VarioBallast delivers exactly this flexibility. It also reduces the number of ballast transport runs we have to make."
