UN Mobilkraner takes on Grove in Norway

Denmark’s UN Mobilkraner has been appointed as the Grove crane distributor for Norway, adding to its Grove distribution in Denmark and Sweden.

Grove began working with Sorring (Aarhus) based UN Mobilkraner in 1994 becoming the official Grove distributor for Denmark in 2010. It added Sweden to its territory in August 2011 and now with the opening of a branch in Drammen it becomes the exclusive distributor for Norway, taking over from previous distributor Normann Olsen. The company also represents Sennebogen crawler cranes, Cormidi spider cranes and Orlaco safety cameras.

UN Mobilkraner director Niels Hoffman said: “Norway’s construction industry is showing positive signs of growth. In recent years, we have seen a rise in residential construction projects and an increase in state spending on roads and railways, so we believe there are many great opportunities for both our business and for Grove cranes and services.”

Steve Barnett commercial director of Manitowoc/Grove for the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia and the Baltics added: “UN Mobilkraner has proven itself as a valuable partner in providing Grove crane sales and support across Sweden and Denmark. We have built a strong relationship with the company over the years and we are confident that we will expand upon that success with this new Norwegian venture.”
