Terex pick & carry sales pick up

Terex Australia has booked a number of orders for new pick & carry cranes, including the Mac 25-4 and AT-22.

Mammoet, Brendon Penn Crane Hire and Melmar Cranes, have all placed orders for the 25 tonne MAC 25-4 articulated crane which features an 18 metre four section boom and a short three metre jib for a maximum tip height of 21.5 metres. As with all ‘Franna’ type cranes the MAC 25-4 has no outriggers and can lift the entire load chart free on wheels. The Gross Vehicle Weight is just under 24 tonnes and maximum travel speed is 75kph.

Two other companies - South32 Cannington and Mandurah Crane Hire have ordered the 22 tonne AT-22 pick & carry crane, which features a 17.9 metre four section boom- the final section of which is manually extended. A short jib raises the maximum tip height to 2.07 metres. Overall weight is 20 tonnes.

Both cranes use Mercedes diesel power units and are available with jib mounted work platforms.

Terex MAC 25-4


In other orders Qwest and JIAB and Caboolture Cranes have both placed orders for five-axle 130 tonne Demag AC 130-5 All Terrain cranes. All of the recent orders are due to be delivered over the next few months.
