Spierings delivers 900th crane
Spierings has delivered its 900th self-erecting mobile tower crane to Swedish crane rental company BeMå-lyft.
The 900th machine is a four axle SK597-AT4 with its 48 metre jib, the compact machine is proving highly popular with 50 units already delivered since its launch in February last year, and a further 50 on order. The full jib can be luffed up to 45 degrees above horizontal, for a maximum hook height of 58.1 metres at which it can lift 1,700kg. The maximum capacity is seven tonnes at a 14 metre radius.
Spierings was established in 1987, by Leo Spierings and his late wife Tiny, and currently offers a range of mobile tower cranes with between three and seven axle carriers along with a crawler model.

Eva-Karin Mårtensson, co-owner and general manager of BeMå-lyft taking delivery of the new crane said: “The last few years we saw that the mobile tower cranes were getting more and more popular in Sweden. With the purchase of the Spierings SK597-AT4 we are the first company with a mobile tower crane in the Örebro area. The fast erecting time of eight minutes in combination with the benefits of a tower crane are big advantages for our customers”.
Bengt Mårtensson established BeMå Uhyrning (BeMå Rental) in 1991 which then became a parent company of BeMå Lyft i Örebro. The comapny runs a fleet of All Terrain and Rough Terrain cranes, mainly from Tadano and Liebherr.
