New office planned for Maxim
US crane rental company Maxim Crane Works is building a $4.7 million office complex in Wilder, Kentucky which could create 100 full time jobs in the area.
The company now has around 400 cranes in Kentucky which has prompted plans to consolidate operations and regional management into Campbell County in the north of the state, with the new 1,580 square metre office building scheduled to open late this year. The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority has approved tax incentives up to $2 million through the Kentucky Business Investment programme.

Chief executive Bryan Carlisle said: “Maxim Crane has been based out of the northern Kentucky area since 1937. The prior and current ownership group of Maxim had the vision to acquire the property necessary to facilitate our growth strategy for the next 100 years. This is a great day for Maxim, our employees and the state. We certainly appreciate the efforts and results that the Governor and his team have dedicated to our project and we look forward to great future for all parties involved.”
Chief operating officer Frank Bardonaro added: “We appreciate the effort that state and local governments have dedicated to facilitating growth in the northern Kentucky area. Our ability to centralise our leadership team for service, safety, operations and logistics will ensure our customers and our employees that Maxim has the ability to continue our successful growth strategy for decades to come.”
