First MK 140 for Sweden

Swedish crane rental company A-Lyft has taken delivery of the first eight tonne Liebherr MK 140 mobile self-erecting tower crane in the country.

The five axle MK 140 has a 1,900kg jib tip capacity at radius of 58.5 metres with the jib in horizontal ‘trolley’ configuration, while it can also be used in full luffing more with a range from 20 to 70 degrees, achieving a maximum hook height of 94 metres and a maximum radius of 65 metres with a 1,000kg capacity. Delivered by Liebherr dealer Alfab, the crane’s first job involved working over the rooftops in the centre of Gothenburg.

The MK 140 is delivered to A-Lyft

Family owned A-Lyft was established over 40 years ago and employs 12, the new crane joins a fleet that includes two Liebherr MK 88 self-erecting tower cranes and four Liebherr All Terrains. The company said that it intends to add two further MK 88 cranes next year.
