Liebherr for Breithaupt & Philipp
German crane rental and heavy haulage company Breithaupt & Philipp has taken delivery of a 250 tonne Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1 All Terrain crane, the largest in its fleet.
The five axle crane features a 60 metre main boom and hydraulic luffing bi-fold swingaway extension which can be extended to 50 metres with inserts, and offset by up to 45 degrees. The crane will mainly be used for concrete and industrial assembly work and for repair work on wind turbines.

Joint managing director Jens Napierala said: "The Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1 is the most powerful five axle crane on the market and its compact dimensions mean that it offers several major benefits compared to a six axle crane in terms of road licensing and its VarioBallast feature."
Uwe Podlech, joint managing director added: "The fact that little licensing work is required to carry out our work means that we can be very flexible with the 250 tonne crane and we no longer need to travel at night resulting in lower staff costs. The features of the LTM 1250-5.1 are extremely important to our branches in the Berlin-Brandenburg area. The long jib also enables us to extend the range of services of the crane."
