New Comansa CM luffer
Linden Comansa’s Chinese operation Comansa CM has launched a new 12 tonne CML luffing jib crane, the CML165.
The new crane joins the 12 to 18 tonne CML190 launched last October, it offers a maximum jib length of 50 metres and can handle up to 2,300kg to a free standing height of 56.6 metres. It will be available for the Asian, Middle East and South American markets from September.

The new crane offers hoist speeds of up to 94 metres a minute and 545 metres of rope stowage on the standard drum, allowing the crane to work in projects of up to 270 metres in height. A larger more powerful winch option includes sufficient rope storage to cope with 400 metres work height, with hoist speeds of up to 131 metres a minute.
The new crane also features one of the shortest counter jibs in the market at 6.5 metres long, and an out of service radius of 19 to 22 metres – depending on jib length, making the crane ideal for narrow sites with tough space restrictions due to buildings and other cranes or regulations. The company is planning a further new product launch later this year.

Sales manager Andy Huang said: "We expect this new crane to be very successful in Asia and the Middle East due to the increasing construction demand in large cities. Luffing jib cranes are the best solution in congested sites and the CML165 is a great option for all type of buildings including high rise towers, which are becoming more and more popular in the region. We have already informed some of our customers about this new model and the news is receiving a warm welcome from countries such as Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, India, etc...”
