NRC adds SCX1500A-3

NRC Plant - the Hitachi-Sumitomo crane distributor for the UK - has taken delivery of a 150 tonne SCX1500A-3 Hitachi Sumitomo crawler crane, with another on the way.

The SCX1500A-3 can lift its maximum capacity to a radius of 4.5 metres. Both cranes have been purchased with 54 metres of main boom and short jibs, are equipped with the latest eco-friendly Cummins engines the first to meet EU Stage IV exhaust gas emissions regulations.

Operations manager Dave Rees said: “For NRC, safety is at the forefront of everything we do. These new additions to the fleet feature advanced safety technology, accident prevention measures and added safety checks with ‘remote sensing’ technology installed as standard.”

Operating for over 60 years, NRC's fleet currently includes 65 telescopic and lattice crawler cranes ranging from five to 150 tonnes.
