Gottwald for Venice
Italian based Terminale Intermodale Venezia (TIV) has ordered a 125 tonne Konecranes Gottwald G HMK 6507 mobile harbour crane.
The new crane is TIV’s second Gottwald Model 6 in the G HMK 6507 two-rope variant, and will be equipped with a twin-lift spreader providing a lifting capacity of up to 60 tonnes. The order includes a customised package of spare parts, and will be sent to TIV's terminal in Marghera, the commercial port of Venice.

TIV general manager Roberto Semenzato said: “Our existing fleet of Konecranes Gottwald machines has contributed to the rapid growth of our terminal. The cranes offer high working speeds, easy access to maintenance points and low energy consumption. They are very efficient machines, which made it easy for us to opt again for mobile harbour crane technology from Konecranes.”
Konecranes sales and marketing director Giuseppe Di Lisa added: “Italy has become one of our most important European markets. Over the last three years, some 15 Konecranes Gottwald mobile harbour cranes have been put into operation in terminals all over the country.”
