Potain orders for NFT

Abu Dhabi based Potain distributor NFT has delivered a number of Potain cranes to contractors working in Kuwait.

NFT has delivered an eight tonne Igo T 130 and a four tonne Igo 50 to Nasser Al Hajri & Partners. The self erecting tower cranes are being used to lift pipes and support the installation of heavy materials at the Mina Al Ahmadi and Mina Abdullah refineries owned by Kuwait National Petroleum Company.

The Potain Igo T 130 supplied by NFT

The manufacturer has also delivered four 40 tonne MD 1100 and two 25 tonne MD 550 tower cranes to Combined Group Contracting. The cranes are currently working on a $164 million car park facility for Kuwait's Ministry of Finance at Al-Farawaniya, Al-Farwaniyah Governorate.

NFT chief executive Nabil Al Zahlwai said: “These deliveries mark the first appearance in Kuwait of both self-erecting and high-capacity MD special applications cranes. NFT senior sales manager Fadi Daher added: “We have technicians installed permanently onsite, so there is always someone there, no matter what time. We also have a container of spare parts on site, so any downtime is minimised.”
